XLOOKUP
Searches a range for a value and returns a corresponding value from another range — the modern replacement for VLOOKUP.
Compatibility: Microsoft 365, Excel 2021+
Syntax
=XLOOKUP(lookup_value, lookup_array, return_array, [if_not_found])
Example
=XLOOKUP(A2,E:E,F:F,"Not Found")
When to Use It
Use XLOOKUP for any lookup in Microsoft 365 or Excel 2021+ — it searches in either direction (not just left-to-right like VLOOKUP) and has a clean built-in way to handle a missing match.
